I am reminded of something Akma said once. To paraphrase:

“My mother always told me that if I couldn’t say anything nice about someone, not to say anything at all. (My lawyer says, ‘Don’t say anything nice.’)”

I avoid saying anything snippy online in general. Even among my “friends” who are not students there is a wide array of opinions and tolerance levels. Basically, everything you say can (and will) be used against you.

I’m unsure how my result for the “which Greek god are you” quiz will play out (Hades), though I actually mentioned it in class today after showing the Deagol and Smeagol clip from Return of the King before our conversations of Cain and Abel. I was trying to explain my tendency to talk about dark texts and problematize those that have been tamed (precious moments Noah and the Ark story anyone?).
